POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF A BREAST MRI

A breast MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a medical test that uses magnetic fields, radio waves, and a sophisticated computer to create very accurate breast pictures without using X-rays.
Breast MRI is a painless procedure that is usually performed on an outpatient basis. This generally involves generating a lot of information and pictures. Before completing the examination, a radiographer examines the pictures to check for any signs and symptoms of related medical conditions.

In general, breast MRI is performed in addition to mammograms and breast ultrasound. Some of the advantages and benefits of breast MRI include:

MRI does not include radiation exposure. It can, therefore, be used securely to screen women
ataugmented risk of breast cancer who need breast screening at age less than 40.

MRI can show if a breast implant has ruptured, where mammography and ultrasound are less
  precise.

A regular MRI assessment can easily detect breast cancers that are hard to identify using the
conventional scans such as mammography and ultrasound. Thus, it is a problem-solving tool for
  instances relating to ambiguous situations.

Evaluation of cancer's response to drug therapy: MRI performed halfway through a drug therapy
course can help determine whether the drugs are effective or not.

Thus, this is how a Breast MRI can help an individual in mitigating the risks associated with breast diseases.
