Breast Cancer Screening and Its Importance in Detecting Cancerous Cells



It is a fact that breast cancer is fatal. It is a cancer that forms in tissues of the breast. According to medical report, it mainly strikes the ducts or tubes that carry milk and lobules in breast. In fact, occurs in both men and women. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death from cancer in American women, which is quite alarming and hence should be addressed immediately. 

According to some medical reports, about one woman in eight will be diagnosed with such fatal disease over the course of her lifetime. In fact, it often increases with age and in fact, somehow associated with the family history of the patient.  

That is why, it is essential to choose a screening test to detect it as early as possible to start treatment. Medical professionals often recommend screening mammography in order to detect the cancerous tissues. In fact, they suggest women should go undergo screening every year beginning at age 40. 

Some institutes suggest women who have had breast cancer should seek medical advice about the frequency of screening. The aim of these institutes is to promote good health and protect women from breast cancer, which is dangerous and spreads at an alarming rate.  They also provide certain guidelines to doctors so that they can handle the case. 

In pursuit of the same, doctor carefully examines the breasts and underarm region for lumps or anything abnormal. Women can also check themselves for any sort of lumps or changes in size or shape. This sort of particular exam helps to detect cancerous cells.
