About 50-60 percent of women ages 40-44 have dense breasts, compared to
20-30 percent of women ages 70-74.
About 50-60 percent of women with a healthy
weight have dense breasts, compared to 20-30 percent of obese women. There are
currently no recommendations for reducing breast density, and there is no clear
evidence that reducing breast
density will reduce breast cancer risk. So that means
currently, there isn’t any cure for dense breasts available. But if a woman
does her regular screening she can find the breast abnormalities at the right
time and can remove it.
Here are a few tips that can help you consider dense breast early: -
- Change
in the nipple.
- Change
in the size, shape, or colour.
- A
new lump.
- Irregular
itching in the breast.
