Common Doubts Regarding Dense Breast

Breast tissue consists of milk glands, milk ducts and supportive tissue (dense breast tissue), and fatty tissue.

Radiologist use mammogram to find the dense breast as the woman with dense breast have more dense tissue for than the fatty tissue. 

The dense breast, if ignored, can lead to serious problem like breast cancer. Since, it’s a matter of her life, a woman have to have some knowledge about the dense breast. But with the knowledge, doubts arrives. So today, I will try to clear some of the main concerns regarding dense breasts.

Does dense breast can lead to cancer?

If the cause is not found and fixed by the doctor or if the woman ignores the issue, it can lead to a severe consequences like cancer. The dense breast can be known early the mammography but if the density is higher, the radiologist uses other tools to find out the dense breast.

What’s the right time for mammography? 

If the woman has any family history of breast cancer, she should consult the doctor at an early age. Though the possibility of a dense breast raises as the age increases.

What is the treatment of dense breasts?

Unfortunately, breast density can only be reduced. Though in the initial stage if the doctor finds the cancerous tissue or some abnormality, a diagnosis can be done.

Breast cancer is now getting common in the woman. Don’t ignore dense breast if you are feeling its symptoms, consult your doctor.
